Dan studied mechanical engineering at Grand Valley State University and has a passion for optimizing mechanical systems for economic performance. He left the automotive industry to fulfill a dream of building custom mechanical systems. Dan began working in the commercial transportation industry by collecting machine tools and building prototypes in a two hundred square foot shed. Today his range of work extends from concept to finished product. Together Dan and Henry hold three patents.

Henry Schwarz is Dan's father and mentor. From his earliest recollection Henry was a natural at all things mechanical. In his teen years he became a manufacturer certified technician in engines, hydraulics, and powertrains. He has 40+ years of experience in the commercial trucking industry ranging from powertrain maintenance to fleet management. Henrys’ maintenance experience coupled with Dan's product design and manufacturing experience has proven invaluable in the development of custom solutions.
